Full audio-free transcript

The demo is silent — no narration. Here's what each step does:

  1. Step 1 (0:00–0:05) — A ChatGPT conversation is open at chatgpt.com. The viewer clicks the ChatExport AI icon in the Chrome toolbar (top right). The export sidebar slides in from the right edge of the page.
  2. Step 2 (0:05–0:12) — In the sidebar, a grid of format icons appears: TEXT (.txt, .md, .json, .csv), DOCUMENT (.html, .pdf, .docx), VISUAL (Screenshot, Share Card), and ARCHIVE (.zip). The viewer clicks PDF.
  3. Step 3 (0:12–0:20) — Above the format grid, a "Select Messages" row appears. The viewer toggles a few messages off using the checkboxes next to each turn in the chat. The included messages are highlighted in teal.
  4. Step 4 (0:20–0:30) — The viewer clicks Export. A progress indicator runs for ~2 seconds. A PDF appears in the Chrome downloads tray. The viewer opens it. The PDF shows the conversation with proper headings, syntax-highlighted code, and rendered LaTeX math — exactly as the chat appeared on screen, but as a real document.
