The short version: By installing or using ChatExport AI you agree to these terms. The extension is provided as-is. We're a small team building useful tools — these terms protect both you and us.
ChatExport AI is a Chrome browser extension developed and operated by Umbrabits ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the extension or this website you agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.
THE EXTENSION AND ALL RELATED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that: (a) the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components; (b) the results obtained from using the extension will be accurate, complete, or reliable; (c) any errors will be corrected; or (d) the extension will remain compatible with any particular version of Chrome or any supported AI platform.
AI platforms may change their interface, structure, or APIs at any time without notice, which may render the extension partially or fully non-functional. We make no guarantee of continued compatibility and accept no responsibility for disruption caused by third-party platform changes.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL UMBRABITS, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the extension, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the extension shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ten euros (€10).
The extension exports conversation data by reading content as rendered in your browser at the time of export. We do not guarantee that exports are complete, accurate, or an exact replica of the original conversation. Factors outside our control — including platform rendering, dynamic content loading, message pagination, browser version, and installed extensions — may affect export output. You are solely responsible for verifying that exported files meet your requirements before relying on them.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Umbrabits and its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the extension; (b) your violation of these terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) any content you export or generate using the extension.
You may not use the extension to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe any intellectual property rights; (c) harvest or export data in violation of the terms of service of any AI platform; (d) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law; or (e) resell or sublicense access to the extension's functionality.
Pro subscriptions are billed on the cycle selected at purchase (monthly or annual) and renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds are at our sole discretion and subject to LemonSqueezy's refund policy. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time; price changes will not affect active subscription periods already paid for. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Pro features in the event of non-payment, abuse, or violation of these terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the extension or any part of it — including Pro features — at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the jurisdiction in which Umbrabits is registered. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order confirmations issued by LemonSqueezy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Umbrabits with respect to the extension and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the extension after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the extension.
